Britney Spears News: Performing at the 2016 Video Music Awards

As we've all heard over the past 9 years, "No Britney, No VMA's." Word was spread & a promo was released yesterday that Britney Spears is set to perform at this years MTV Video Music Awards.

This will be the first time Brit has performed at the VMA's since her much talked about "Gimme More" performance back in 2007. The promo released yesterday, shows a dressing room, where a yellow boa constrictor slithers around various props that flashback to her first ever VMA performance of "Baby...One More Time", as the snake wraps itself around a highschool desk, then slithers across a diamond encrusted top (flashback to her "Oops..I Did It Again" performance in 2000), of course the snake is a throwback to the "Slave 4 U" performance from 2001, & finally coils itself on top of a wedding veil, which was one of Spears most epic VMA's performance, where she locked lips with Madonna in 2003.

Word is that Britney will perform her new hit single "Make Me" with G-Eazy. She goes onto say "The VMA's don't give you a stage, they give you a story. Some way of taking a fraction of a second & making it live forever. Before you know it- It's history. Before you know it...It's Britney bitch."

The VMA's air August 28th 9pm ET
