It is MTV's highest honor to an incredibly deserving artist.
Rihanna will recieve the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, as well as perform. The only others to recieve this award are Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Beyonce', & of course Michael himself.
The Ceremony will take place at Madison Square Garden & will air live Sunday, August 28th, 9pm ET\PT.
