A Halloween company has pulled a costume making fun of Kim Kardashian's Paris robbery. Following outrage on social media, the retailer "Costumeish" has yanked the costume that portrayed Kim being robbed.
With the title "Parisian hesit" the kit never mentioned Kim by name, but you can't deny the obvious. It featured a bound-&-gagged "Kardashian clone" wearing a white robe & a huge diamond ring. The costume was going for around $70. The description said "She has devoted her life to promoting American decadance, youth, & hedonism, but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris, when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry, & peace of mind. This halloween have some fun with pop culture & dress like the queen of social media."
"Costumeish" founder Jonathan Weeks insisted in an interview yesterday with "Time" that they were "not mocking her" but they had second thoughts & announced they were pulling the costume because of "extensive out-lash" & apologizing if it offended anyone.
No, really you think? What is going through some of these people's minds is beyond me.
